Unitas d.d. thread factory is a 100% croatian capital company established in 1920. Its core business is the production and sales of cotton threads for handicraft. We produce threads for knitting, crocheting, embroidery (stiching), lace making, industrial threads, hand weaving and gobelin kits.
We produce threads in various qualities; cotton, especially 100% Giza, extra long stapeled cotton, also other types of cotton, viscose, mixtures and blends with of cotton like cotton/viscose, cotton/acrylic and other, in count range Nm 8 up to Nm 100.
Our mashinery park contains:
- Yarn doubling machines
- Twisting machines
- Gassing machines
- Winding machines
- Rewinding machines
- Balling machines
- Packaging machines, etc.
Our production is certified with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certificate, labeled Confidence in Textiles, issued by Hohenstein Textile Testing Institute Germany, renewed each year.
Mouliné
We’re especially proud of our awarded Mouliné Ljubica, thread which is world renowned for its quality. It boasts with extreme durability and a selection of 600 shades. It is produced from 100% egyptian cotton, extra long staple, of the highest quality.
Our main markets are, expect of Croatia also Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Slovenia and most demanding markets of EU; german, italian, belgium, scandinavian and others. We export also to Russia and South Korea.
